Rural and regional fare changes from 1 January 2021

Rural and regional bus fares will change from 1 January 2021 for travel on bus services in our North Coast networks.

From 1 January:

  • A majority of fares will receive a reduction of up to 40-54 percent.  
  • Weekly fares will also receive a reduction, providing customers with unlimited travel up to the sections purchased for that week of travel

Regional Excursion Daily (RED) tickets will stay the same at $2.50 per ticket.

Castlereagh Rd, Penrith diversion

Due to the Castlereagh Road upgrade,  Castlereagh Rd will be closed between High Street and Coreen Avenue from:

  • 7:00pm Friday 01 January until 4:00am Saturday 09 January 2021

Northern Road Diversion

The Northern Road will be closed between Frogmore Road and Wentworth Road in both directions due to the upgrade of The Northern Road and the access links onto and off the M4 Motorway from:

  • 7pm Friday 22 January to 8am Saturday 23 January 2021
  • 7pm Saturday 23 January to 8am Sunday 24 January 2021
  • 7pm Sunday 24 January to 5am Monday 25 January 2021

794 services will divert via Frogmore Road, Kingswood Road and Wentworth Road during the closures, no bus stops will be affected by this diversion.

Glenmore Parkway Diversion

Glenmore Parkway will be closed between The Northern Road and Glengarry Drive, all 794 services will divert via Bradley Street from:

  • 8pm Friday 22 until 5am Monday 25 January 2021
