Service delivery and assets
From a driver turning up for work to a bus returning back to the depot, there are many roles in the team that help keep our community moving, including bus drivers, roster clerks, depot operations management and support, and special project personnel. Just five minutes from Penrith Central Business District (CBD), between the Nepean River and North Penrith Bunnings, our Penrith depot is a modern, state-of-the-art facility purpose built by Busways in 2014. Penrith depot workshop is best-in-class, fully equipped with dedicated under chassis inspection bays, in-ground heavy vehicle brake, steering and suspension testing equipment, heavy vehicle maintenance tooling and equipment, keeping the fleet at the highest standard seen in the industry.
The fleet has already started the transition to battery electric buses, with drivers and mechanics being trained in new and changing technologies, along with an onsite solar panel system serves the site's energy needs sustainably. With services operating from 4am to 1am, Penrith depot is a busy depot with lots of different work schedule opportunities and route types. Featuring modern employee lunchrooms, driver recreation facilities such as a computer room and ping pong table, and a quiet room for resting during split shifts, it's a home away from home. The depot also has a community garden, active social club, and lots of supportive, friendly, and experienced peers to learn from.
Port Macquarie Depot

Pymble National Support Office
Nestled just a five-minute drive or twelve minute walk from Gordon Shopping Mall, and located within 12 minute walk of both Pymble and Gordon train stations, our Pymble National Support Office stands as a modern workspace situated across the road from the bustling Pymble Bunnings. It’s a convenient midpoint for those coming from the Central Coast, Western Sydney, Northern Beaches or Sydney CBD. Busways provides free shared minibus transport daily between Pymble and both the Central Coast and Western Sydney.
The National Support Office is a centralised hub for all Busways’ support departments, including scheduling, information technology, marketing, customer experience, human resources. The office operates under a flexible hybrid model, blending office and remote working days each week with established core hours from 10 am to 3 pm for non-shift-based roles, helping to support morning and afternoon life commitments outside of work Shift-based roles include the Operation Control Centre, customer service roles and some admin roles.
The office provides a welcoming atmosphere with modern employee lunchrooms, recreational spaces like a ping pong table and wellness rooms, making it a great place to create long lasting friendships.
