Not all Superheroes wear capes
Join Busways and support the Coffs Harbour community at the National Cartoon Gallery as they showcase an exciting Superheroes exhibition from 18 November to 12 March.
The National Cartoon Gallery @The Bunker is located at 1 John Champion Way, Coffs Harbour 2450 and is Australia’s first and only dedicated cartoon art gallery.
The Superheroes exhibition will feature cartoons from around Australia as well as Coffs Coast kids, and youth representation of what a superhero looks like to them.
Busways is a proud partner of the exhibition, promoting the Superheroes exhibition on its buses and encouraging people to be Bus Safety superheroes through an exhibit.
Delivering Bus Safety lessons are part of Busways’ longstanding community safety initiatives where students learn safe behaviours on and around buses. Busways delivers free and tailored Bus Safety lessons to Kindergarten to Year 6 students in a fun, interactive and hands-on way.
Leah Miller the Assistant Principal at Nambucca Heads Public school said that “It’s so important that students learn these lessons as buses are big and heavy vehicles that are always around schools.”
As buses continue to become more integral to our communities, help us help you keep your community and kids safe as they ride our buses. Here are some comments from this year’s Bus Safety Programs:
“Simple, engaging and practical Bus Safety session” – Amor Duggal, Bidwell Public School
“The ability of the instructor to communicate with the students about being safe on and near buses worked well, and the ride on the bus. Effective program.” – David O’Hara, St Andrew’s Christian School
