Recently Busways worked with Transport for NSW to create a video all about becoming a new bus driver!

In this quick 30 second snippet, you get a sneak peek into the types of activities a new driver recruit will undertake during their first week of training.

Providing transparency about the processes involved in becoming a bus driver, is a positive and visually stimulating way to break down barriers and highlight to potential new drivers, just how easy it is.

Our expert trainers look after new drivers, from helping them to upgrade to a heavy vehicle licence, through to mentoring on the road and learning new routes, to become a safe and competent driver who loves what they do.

Right now, we’re waiving training and application fees and offering incentives as well as working with the industry to build our driving workforce. 

That’s on top of our own extensive recruitment campaign efforts, now supported by the NSW Government’s campaign launched last month.
