Busways Supports National Blood Donor Week

Busways employees giving blood

In a show of solidarity and giving back, a group of Busways Pymble National Support office team members took part in National Blood Donor Week by visiting the local Macquarie Park blood donor centre. The event not only provided an opportunity for the team to give back, but also highlights Busways' employee’s commitment towards supporting our communities.

This year's National Blood Donor Week theme, highlights the vital role donors play in fostering a sense of togetherness, was vividly demonstrated during the visit. The collective effort of the Busways team symbolises their dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

Head of Busways Human Resources Alanna Ward says “Busways actively promotes community initiatives within the organisation, and it’s fantastic to see our employees take part in helping those in need.”

“More than just an act of kindness, this reflects the company's ethos of supporting our communities and uniting for a common cause. It’s one of many volunteering activities our team members across all offices and depots take part in each year. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Busways' mission to help support our local communities.”

The importance of blood donation cannot be overstated. With every blood type playing a crucial role and the demand, Busways takes pride in its team's contribution to the community and their selfless act of giving to those in need and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
