Busways enjoyed spreading festive cheer and playing Santa’s helper at the 2023 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide recently!

On behalf of Adelaide Metro, Busways ran 34 free shuttle services taking pageant participants from key locations to the parade, without a hitch.

A highlight was transporting the phenomenal South Australia Police (SAPOL) brass band (pictured) from Police Barracks to the parade, ensuring the officers could rock the Christmas parade on time and in style.

Busways South Australian General Manager Neil Henderson said supporting the Southern Hemisphere's largest public parade is an excellent way to kick off Christmas cheer and give back to the local community.

“With over 300,000 excited parade-goers attending, it was important to collect pageant participants from the end of the parade and transport them back to the beginning to allow for an organised flow on the day,” Mr Henderson said.

“It is safe to say, the day went well, and flowed seamlessly, thanks to our drivers’ onsite and our operations crew behind the scenes, organising the logistics of the event.

“Across the day Busways carried 2710 participants, which was an amazing achievement.”
