Busways Managing Director Byron Rowe said the award affirms their commitment to continuous improvement and innovative business processes.
"These industry recognitions confirm our commitment to continuous improvement in our business by developing innovative processes and tools that result in quality customer service and a happy and proud workforce," he said.
Cooee Busways is an on demand service operated in Western Sydney in partnership with Busways, Transport for NSW and developer Via.
Nectar is Busways' credit card payment tap on/tap off system on the NSW North Coast that was developed in-house, similar to the Opal system in Sydney.
Now in their fifteenth year, The Australian Business Awards (ABA) program provides an opportunity for high-performing organisations which implement world-class business initiatives and develop innovative products and services to be acknowledged and honoured for their achievements both nationally and internationally. The national winners are benchmarked in the international chapter of the program at The World Business Awards whereby participants are provided with the unique opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top performers globally.
Organisations that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement are recognised via a set of established business and product award categories.
