Western Sydney

Busways proudly provides scheduled route and school bus services to communities in the Western Sydney region.

This bus network covers a large part of Western Sydney including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill, Seven Hills, Castle Hill, Windsor, Penrith, Richmond and Hawkesbury Valley.

These services take passengers to and from work, school, shopping centres, beaches and many other places. 

Some of the major trip destinations are the train stations on the Main Western Line as well as the Norwest Business Park, Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, Castle Towers and Centro Nepean.

Busways has been awarded Sydney's Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government to provide bus services in this area, also known as Region 1.

Routes 742 & 747 Diversion

Effective 21st January, 2019 Commencing at 7.00am on Monday the 21st January for a period of 7 months, (weather permitting) Kensington Park Road at Riverstone, will be closed to traffic between McCulloch Street and Boundary Road, due to the reconstruction of the road.

The Northern Road Diversion

Effective 18th January 2018 Commencing on Friday the 18th January 2019, until Sunday the 20th The Northern Road at South Penrith will be closed to all traffic between Bringelly Road and Frogmore Road.

Bus stop closure North Parade, Mt Druitt

Effective: Monday 21st January 2019 Due to the major road reconstruction work of Kurrajong Ave between Carlisle Avenue and Oxford Lane the bus stops on North Parade, Mt Druitt will be closed until further notice.

Route 743 diversion

Effective: Thursday 13th December 2018 Due to the Christmas lights display on Lawson Street, Lalor Park and associated traffic issues, route 743 will divert via Boronia St and Stephen St.
