Busways proudly provides scheduled route and school bus services to communities in the Western Sydney region.

This bus network covers a large part of Western Sydney including Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Rouse Hill, Seven Hills, Castle Hill, Windsor, Penrith, Richmond and Hawkesbury Valley.

These services take passengers to and from work, school, shopping centres, beaches and many other places. 

Some of the major trip destinations are the train stations on the Main Western Line as well as the Norwest Business Park, Westpoint Blacktown Shopping Centre, Castle Towers and Centro Nepean.

Busways has been awarded Sydney's Bus Contract 1 by the NSW Government to provide bus services in this area, also known as Region 1.

Western Sydney bus service adjustments from 30 September

There will be minor changes to departure times on Routes 661, 728, 746, 756, 757, 775, 780, 786 and T72 to align with train services.

Unfortunately some drivers from the Transport Workers Union (TWU) in Western Sydney intend to stop work. Minimal impact on services is expected.

Route 745 services to Castle Hill return to normal

Route 745 services to Castle Hill are returning to normal and will no longer be diverted, after earlier diversions were put in place due to an accident on Showground Rd, Castle Hill.

Busways drivers to stop work for 4 hours Friday, September 21

Some Transport Workers Union members intend to stop work for 4 hours on Friday, September 21 from 10am to 2pm. Customers are encouraged to check if their service is operating through trip planning apps.

Route 740: Temporary bus stop changes at Macquarie Park from 30 September

From Sunday 30 September, there will be temporary bus stop changes at Macquarie Park Station and Macquarie University Station to accommodate Station Link bus services in operation.
