Seniors Week - Free Travel Training at Lane Cove

If you are new to using the bus network or would like to build your confidence travelling by bus, join our free and friendly seniors travel training session on Wednesday 13 March at Lane Cove Library.

Hosted in collaboration with Lane Cove City Council as part of the Lane Cove Seniors Festival, the session aims to help seniors gain confidence in using public transport.

As we get older, public transport can be a lifeline to being connected, reducing isolation and providing freedom, but for first time or infrequent bus users it can be a little daunting.

Busways travel training will help you unlock the bus network providing independence and less reliance on others for transportation.  This session aims to help you overcome barriers, empowering seniors with the skills to navigate the bus network safely and efficiently, enabling continued access to goods and services as well as getting out and about for social and recreational activities.

Join us over a cuppa and morning tea to learn more about using apps to plan your trip, ticketing, and accessibility, and using the Senior/Pensioner Opal card, available to NSW seniors, Pensioner Concession cardholders, and NSW War Widow/ers.

The Travel Training runs from 10am – 11am. Please register your interest for catering purposes - email buseducation@busways.com.au or call us at 02 9497 1800.
