Sedona’s Sleepout 4 the Homeless

15 May 2013

Sleep under the stars for a good cause!

Busways is proud to sponsor and support Sedona, an amazing 12 year old local girl and daughter of a bus driver at Kincumber Depot, in her effort to raise awareness for the homeless people throughout the Central Coast.

Sedona will be holding a sleepout and fundraising event at Kibble Park, Gosford on May 25. Participants are required to register for the event and sponsor a minimum amount of $50. All money raised will go towards buying sleeping bags and winter necessities for the homeless on the Central Coast.

After witnessing a homeless man sleeping under poor conditions, Sedona was deeply moved and motivated to act. “I want to raise enough money to buy swags for every homeless person, to keep them warm and dry in our very cold winter, because no one should be freezing cold in winter.”

“Sedona’s goal to raise awareness and support for those in our community without a place to go each night is an inspiration. We’re proud to help support her and hope more in the community will get involved” said Acting Busways Gosford Depot Manager Andrew Kendall.

The night will also feature live entertainment from local bands with food and beverages available on-site for a small donation.
