Port Macquarie Review: Proposed Bus Network

04 Jun 2012

Busways is undertaking a network consultation across all bus routes in the Port Macquarie and Hastings regions between the 4th and 29th June 2012. Residents are invited to provide their feedback on the proposed network.

The consultation proposal suggests better route coverage, services to new housing estates, improved access to industrial/commercial areas and increased bus services to the Port Macquarie Airport.

This major review of services will cater to the increasing demand on the bus network as a result of growth and change in the area.

Dedicated school services will be assessed following the completion of this route network review through a secondary consultation process.

A comprehensive guide including details of the proposed network and feedback form have been delivered to each household in the greater Port Macquarie region and will be available from drivers after the 11th June.

Busways will also host a number of information stalls throughout the region where staff will be available to answer questions on the proposed network:

Laurieton Coles- Tuesday 12th June 2012

Wauchope CBD- Wednesday 13th June 2012

Lighthouse Beach Plaza- Thursday 14th June 2012

Settlement City- Friday 15th June 2012

Residents can have their say by completing the survey form by clicking here or sending the completed form from the consultation guide to the Reply Paid address.
